THE INFLUENCE OF VIDEO ANALYSIS ON THE PROCESS OF MICRO-TEACHING STUDENTS' CHANGE
ABSTRACT
This thesis entitled “The Influence of Video Analysis on the Process of Micro- Teaching Students’ Change.” The writer was interested in choosing video reflection to see the improvement of micro-teaching students’ when using this kind of self-reflection. It was conducted to find out the benefit of using video- analysis to the micro-teaching students’ performance in UIN Ar-Raniry. The research design was qualitative research and the method of this research was descriptive analysis. It was carried out on times started from 26th April – 31st May 2014 with 10 student teachers of English Education Department in UIN Ar-Raniry Banda Aceh as the samples. In collecting the data, the writer recorded the student teachers video and gave them postal questionnaires related to their performance in teaching. Then, the writer gave them an opened-questioned questionnaire to know their improvement after using that method of assessment. The result of this research showed that there were some benefits of using video analysis to the micro-teaching students’ performance and this self-reflection was very useful to improve the micro-teaching students’ performance.
